APOLOGY LETTER
Dear Window Wizard,
Recently I looked out my windows and realized that they were horribly dirty, both inside and out. I then realized that I had failed to make an appointment with you, because I don't like to pay you $100 JUST TO CLEAN MY WINDOWS!! "What a waste of $100," I thought to myself, as I cringed at the dirt and grime on the glass. So I took matters into my own hands. I filled my cleaning bucket with soapy water, got my window squeegee, a towel to wipe it on, and away I went.
I started with the small windows, the 'manageable' ones, and then reluctantly moved on to the bigger and unreachable ones. As I started in on the windows and got the first two cleaned and shined up, I grinned and said out loud, "Well, what am I going to spend $100 on? I mean, JEEZ Window Wizard is REALLY over-priced and HONESTLY, this really isn't THAT bad." I continued with cleaning my windows. After about 30 minutes, some real elbow grease, sweaty pits and now stinky hair that I didn't want, I started to say a few nasty things in my mind that I wasn't planning on saying that day. I started to re-think the $100 that I was "saving".
When my husband came home for lunch, he asked me why in the world I would do such a foolish thing, and I told him that I was saving us $100! He just rolled his eyes at me. I really wasn't sure if he grasped the concept that saving $100 each time YOU didn't come, was far more important than my effort and time wasted on these stupid windows!?! After all, you used come about 5-6 times per year, that adds up to be $500-$600. Now really, for window cleaning? Really? I used to be on a regular 'window cleaning' schedule, but I wanted to save a few bucks, so I called and cancelled. I then found myself only calling when I couldn't even see the neighbors driving down the street! I was really on a "saving" binge.
But after what I saw today, after my own attempt at cleaning and failing, I owe you a big apology. After what I went through, I owe you a huge apology. I cleaned some pretty large windows. I cleaned some pretty hard-to-reach windows. I tried to clean many not-so-easy-to-access windows. I also cleaned many, many windows, and after all of this, I owe you an apology. I owe you an apology, because I now realize that the windows on my house suck! The windows on my house are definitely worth $100, and I am so, so sorry for the bushes that you have to navigate around each time that you come. I now realize how difficult it is to access them and get them clean.
You guys do a wonderful job at what you do. Your customer service is above grade. Although I have had to have a few screens repaired, and I have used your next day call back service because of a few spots on my windows, I have vowed to never again do so because of my own cleaning experience.
